Membership Matters and FPM announce strategic partnership
Strategic partnership
Membership Matters has been appointed as the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine’s (FPM) strategic membership research partner, supporting one of the most significant membership transformation programmes in the organisation’s history.
The partnership will provide FPM with ongoing member insight, strategic consultancy and evidence-based recommendations to help shape the future of membership, ensuring the organisation continues to meet the evolving needs of professionals working across pharmaceutical medicine.
Supporting the future of pharmaceutical medicine
FPM is the professional membership body for pharmaceutical physicians and medically qualified professionals working across medicines development, clinical research, regulation and patient safety. Its mission is to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and competence for the benefit of patients and the public.
The partnership will be delivered through a structured three-stage programme, combining member research, strategic consultancy and evidence-based recommendations to support the continued evolution of FPM’s membership proposition. The programme includes large-scale member research, qualitative consultation, proposition development, membership modelling and strategic recommendations that will help shape the organisation’s future direction.
Bringing the member voice into strategy
David Douglas, Managing Director of Membership Matters, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. FPM plays a vital role in supporting pharmaceutical medicine professionals and advancing standards across the sector. We’re looking forward to bringing the voice of the speciality to the heart of strategic decision-making and helping ensure the organisation continues to evolve in line with the needs of its community.”
The programme is already underway, with surveys, interviews and focus groups exploring member needs, expectations and future priorities. The findings will inform the development of a future membership strategy that supports engagement, retention and sustainable growth, while reinforcing FPM’s role as the professional home for pharmaceutical medicine.
